At half past ten tonight (about ten minutes from now) it will be exactly 36 years since the first episode of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was broadcast. To mark the occasion, the BBC is not only repeating the entire series on Radio 4extra, but has also published some clips from other programs where the series was discussed. Here’s one where Douglas Adams describes how he arrived at the name Slartibartfast for one of the characters:
